Jeff DiCenzo joined the United Way Board of Directors when United Way of Monroe expanded its service area to include Lenawee County. A 39-year resident of Lenawee County, Jeff brings deep local knowledge and a long-standing commitment to community service.
He spent 40 years in the commercial insurance industry, retiring in 2020. His career provided him with a strong risk management perspective that he continues to apply to nonprofit governance and organizational oversight.
Jeff also serves on the boards of the Lenawee Department on Aging and the Lenawee Youth Center (Maurice Spear Campus), further reflecting his dedication to supporting residents across the lifespan, from youth services to older adult care.
In addition to his board and professional work, Jeff enjoys biking and plays keyboard in a musical duo that performs throughout Southeast Michigan.
Jeff strongly believes in the growing importance of United Way as a trusted mechanism for vetting and supporting effective nonprofit organizations. He values United Way’s role as a credible fiduciary for donor contributions, ensuring that community resources are stewarded responsibly and directed toward meeting basic needs first while strengthening long-term community well-being.
