Community Impact Projects

Monroe County ISD-High Risk Pre-School Program –

Objective: Providing scholarships for a 2.5 hour two day a week pre-school program for one year for 30 at-risk three year old children in Monroe County


Community Foundation - Imagination Library –

Objective: Providing a literacy program for children in Monroe County ages Birth - 5 years.


Salvation Army Faith Stimulus –

Objective: Providing assistance to the recently unemployed individuals of Monroe County.


Monroe County Opportunity Program-Community Choice Pantry –

Objective: Development of software technology to support the Community Choice Pantry with a system to cross reference users and community resources to support the Human Service needs of the residents in Monroe County.


Catholic Charities - Bavolek Parenting Program –

Objective: To address at-risk parents with the goal of stabilizing families in Monroe County.



The Learning Bank Network Turning Point Program –

Objective: Providing 31 weeks of tutoring services to those in their academically diverse student population.


Monroe County Community Foundation –

Objective: Improve accessibility to recreation for the citizens of Monroe County.


Great Start Children's Health Fair –

Objective: Providing immunizations to Monroe County Children without insurance.


Family Medical Center –

Objective: Providing primary healthcare services to residents in Monroe County.



Monroe County Health Check –

Objective: Collaborative effort with community partners offering low-cost health screenings at four Monroe County locations during the spring months.


Monroe County Health Plan–

Objective: Offer health care to uninsured Monroe County residents between the ages of 18 and 64 previously receiving services under the Michigan’s Adult Benefit Waiver program.



Active Balanced Community –

Objective: Engage our community and its resources in the ongoing effort to create a healthy and protective environment in Monroe County that encourages responsible families and positive behaviors in youth.


Project Ramp–

Objective: Build barrier-free ramps for those residents of Monroe County in need.


Youth Educational Construction Program–

Objective: A collaborative project through Monroe Public Schools, Habitat for Humanity and United Way of Monroe County to provide decent and affordable housing and quality educational skill building experience for MPS students.


2-1-1 –

Objective: Provide assessment, referrals to health and human care services and follow up. Acts as an advocate when needed.


Volunteer Action Center–

Objective: Match volunteers with organizations in need of services.
